What was your role?

On this team, I worked on developing an app.

What did you work on?

So far, I have imported the landing page and other pages into the app version and am currently working on the login page.

What was the impact of your project?
I guess the impact of our project is to expand the reach of Unadat to a whole new audience. Letting more people know about Unadat and fighting their debt.
What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?
Overall my programming knowledge had increased during this internship. Working with other people and collaborating with others. I also learn how to develop an app with an existing website and how everything comes together and works simultaneously. Working with android studio and capacitor. I also learned a lot from my teammates. I learned how some of the code works. Most importantly how important a team is for the project to progress. You need a teammate to be able to get things done on time.
What skills have you gained?
Working with other people and collaborating with others. I also learn how to develop an app with an existing website and how everything comes together and work simultaneously. Working with android studio and capacitor.
What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?
The initial starting point is probably the best roadblock. We had discussed a lot about different options and directions we can head into in this project. And having everyone on the same page while working around and troubleshooting with different software for everyone.I also ran into different problems and obstacles, but Google is your best friend if you're working with tech and every other field. Other than Google, teammates and supervisors are also great.
How has company culture guided your work?
Bias for action. Just start the project and not worry too much. We weren't stuck on deciding on which programmer or direction we are heading in. We just pick one and start working with it
What was your experience at Unadat?
What was one big project you worked on during the internship? Can you walk me through the process?
Developing an app. We are developing a PWA app. First, we needed to find something that would actually work with importing a website into a mobile app. We got a capacitor. Then, we need to get everyone on the same page, downloading/installing and troubleshooting so everyone's capacitor is working properly. Next, we import the landing page and some other pages into the app, then the login function.
What advice would you give to future interns?
My advice would be to just do what you are good at, no need to overburden yourself. If you need help just ask. It's ok to be learning. And take this as a learning experience.
