College: CUNY Bernard Baruch College

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree

Career Interest: CIS Data Analytics Track

I like to make spreadsheets to organize my course work, watch movies with my family, and do puzzles. My favorite foods are pizza, sushi and buffalo wings. My favorite color is blue. My pet peeves would be bugs and loud chewing. Fun fact: I have a dog named Rio. I would say, I enjoy my job as a sales professional because I am able to help families receive lessons to prepare their children to swim safely. My goal is to have new experiences and to learn as much as I can in my career . My hobbies would be gaming, sketching, painting and reading. I also like to listen to music while doing hobbies and activities. I am proud to come from a family that is the first generation to go to school and get a degree.

What was your role?

I worked on the wellness score project

What did you work on?

What was the impact of your project?
Seeing it in action and how my teams ideas come to life.
What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?
Yes I have. It was wonderful to see what everyone in my team was capable of and their ideas being presented or worked on. I learned how to work together in meeting and documentations.
What skills have you gained?
New skills I picked up are having more platforms I can use and do my work on. Able to work more efficiently, work on my presentations, speaking in a more clear way to understand my work to others that are not in the team`s project.
What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?
I would say a roadblock was when I was having trouble on a code but then was able to figure it out. I would ask a team member for help but we use different platforms which made it different but the code was able to help me get an idea of what my code can be. I just need to change the functions and a way to calculate what I wanted as an output.
How has company culture guided your work?
Company culture has guide my ideas to a good direction on my topic. Showed how the remote environment is like and on how management is on top of it. The Jira board was useful to show you or create a task.
What was your experience at Unadat?
What was one big project you worked on during the internship? Can you walk me through the process?
I collected data, research, datasets, manipulated data, did data reports, code in sql, and worked on changing inputs and outputs.
What advice would you give to future interns?
Get well adjusted, make sure to talk to all your team mates, ask for help when you need it, and say or write down your ideas. Be prepared to present and work as a team. Interact with others on the platform.
