I am a Junior student at Hunter College, majoring in English Linguistics and Rhetoric. I have a passion for writing, marketing, and most importantly, matcha lattes. In the future, I would like to further my education and become a Speech Pathologist.

What was your role?

I created LinkedIn and Instagram posts, engaging Instagram stories, and analyzed the analytics of each social media platform. I also researched the social media platforms of different companies within various types of fields (beauty, animations, fitness, food, etc) and analyzed their feed/highlights, listing the pros/cons of each.

What did you work on?

LinkdeIn posts and instagram pulicity to create awareness of the Unadat company.

What was the impact of your project?

What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?

I learned how to make instagram stories more interactive and engaging from our team leader, Yana. She helped us organize each story and post to be more eye-catching and attention grabbing. I also improved my communication skills working with Tuna and hoping on call to work together occassionally.

What skills have you gained?

I improved my communication skills, teamwork, and analytic skills through this Unadat Internship. With posting instagram stories, I learned how to use different tools and apps to create interesting stories, as well as engaging posts like polls for the audience to vote on. I also learned to use AI in to my advantage in writing without making it sound too much like a robot and creating good images to use.

What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?

The biggest roadblock I overcame was figuring out the way LinkedIn works and how to create good posts for that platform. Before this internship, I did not post on LinkedIn at all so I did not have much experience with it. However, with advice from Sean on posting, creating posts became a bit easier and more manageable.

How has company culture guided your work?

The midweek huddles and check-ins every few days has helped me keep on track with my work. I was able to post consistently and improve on making each post more interesting to the audience. Having a team leader helped as well in guiding us to analyze the analytics of each post.

What was one big project you worked on during the internship? Can you walk me through the process?

What advice would you give to future interns?

Be mindful of time-management. It is important to know how to balance class assignments with internship work. When posting on social media platforms, make the posts something that you yourself would want to click on and read so that it is interesting.
