I'm a technical person. I have good understanding of data structure and algorithm, and I often post leetcode solutions as a personal habit. I want a to be a full stack developer. So I am trying to learn both frontend and backend. I am currently learning vue now, and I meanwhile is working on my TinyWebserver project.

What was your role?

I worked on a project which add functionalities to existing page. The functionality will allow the children and the parents to communicate, which is basically a communication system.

What did you work on?

What was the impact of your project?
The project can probably help the company to gain more users especially for children and parents. Because the functionality we added can really help them to build a good relationship.
What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?
We had a good time of contributing, I have learned the ways they think of a problem.
What skills have you gained?
I would definitely say php is a new skill I have now. In the project, we learned so much about php, how to use php to do backend things. For example, using php to interact with out database to save/fetch data/
What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?
It was so rough to start, especially at the beginning, the whole cs team is just struggling on reading the current code because it was so long. And we also struggled on adding our functionalities. But we manage to do things step by step, and adding things little by little. And after all, we added a good functionality to the website.
How has company culture guided your work?
The use of Jira just kept me on the right track. And I know what to do for this week. The weekly report meeting in general also helped me to know what we didn’t do well in that week.
What was your experience at Unadat?
What was one big project you worked on during the internship? Can you walk me through the process?
I firstly used HTML,CSS,JS to created a chore list. And then I gave this chuck of code to my backend side teammates. They then use my chore list to interact with the database. And so the parents and children can both interact with each other using the list.
What advice would you give to future interns?
Definitely try to learn php in advance. We spend like a whole week to just get a sense of what php does in the code. So learning it before can help so much.
