What was your role?

As a Technical Product Manager (TPM) at Unadat, I oversee a group of nine Software Engineer (SWE) interns, alongside another TPM

What did you work on?

Overall the project I worked on was adding new features to the Unadat website.

What was the impact of your project?
What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?
From my teammates at Unadat, Ive learned valuable lessons about teamwork, effective communication, and technical expertise. Collaborating with diverse skill sets has taught me the importance of leveraging each team members strengths, fostering a supportive environment for knowledge sharing, and adapting quickly to new technologies and methodologies. Additionally, Ive gained insights into project management strategies and agile development practices, enhancing my ability to lead and contribute effectively to our projects.
What skills have you gained?
Project management abilities, proficiency in agile development methodologies, improved communication and collaboration techniques within a team setting, and a deeper understanding of software engineering principles. Ive also gained practical experience in using tools like Linear for task management and have honed my problem-solving skills through tackling real-world challenges in software development projects.
What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?
Juggling with classes and projects was a big roadblock of mine. But by creating time blocks I was able to get in my hours of work in.
How has company culture guided your work?
The company culture has shown me a plethora of things. This culture has guided my work by encouraging open communication, fostering creativity in problem-solving, and promoting a growth mindset among team members.

What advice would you give to future interns?
My advice to the next crop of interns would be to embrace every learning opportunity, be proactive in seeking feedback and guidance, and actively collaborate with team members to contribute meaningfully to projects. Additionally, staying organized, managing time effectively, and maintaining open communication channels
