What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?

I learned some things on Figma from my teammates. For example how to organize the project and how to use plugins.

What skills have you gained?

Skills gained during the internship mainly consist of soft skills. One is a tool, Asana, which I got to become familiar with during the internship. We used Asana to collaborate and track team goals, tasks, and progress. This closely relates to the skill of cross team collaboration. Other subteams relied on mock ups from my subteam and we learned that communication is crucial for other teams` progress.

What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?

Ideating for milestones and checkpoints was the biggest roadblock due to terminology and the fact that it is completely new. We overcame this roadblock by escalating to the iPM and getting clarification on it. And then my team spent more time talking about it and brainstorming while typing down any helpful ideas before actually starting to create mock ups.

How has company culture guided your work?

At the start the vision for challenges feature was shared but the more specific details were purposely left out so as to not hinder creativity when my team came up with initial mockups. then the work became more guided and some of the new ideas stayed and some didn`t survive after receiving feedback.
