What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?

Working alongside my teammates has been a tremendous learning experience. I`ve gained insights into diverse design processes, mastering the art of blending various styles to enhance our collective efficiency. Moreover, I`ve enriched my knowledge of computer science terminology, understanding the practicality of implementing different concepts. This collaborative environment has broadened my horizons and honed my skills in ways I couldn`t have achieved alone.

What skills have you gained?

Throughout my experience at the Unadat internship, I`ve honed various new skills, with Figma being a standout tool. I`ve become adept at leveraging Figma`s features to craft intricate and user-friendly interfaces. This proficiency extends to creating interactive prototypes, streamlining design collaboration, and effectively translating concepts into tangible designs. Mastering Figma has not only elevated my design capabilities but has also equipped me to be a more versatile and efficient designer in a digital-first landscape.

What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?

One of the most significant challenges I encountered was navigating situations where I needed to diverge from the design direction and advocate strongly for the user`s perspective. This often led to intense debates within the team about the potential benefits of our solutions. To overcome this roadblock, I adopted a proactive approach of presenting user research, data, and insights to back my stance. I fostered open dialogue, encouraging the team to critically assess the user`s needs, and collaborated to find balanced solutions that merged both creative vision and user-centered principles.

How has company culture guided your work?

The company culture has profoundly influenced my work by emphasizing the value of teamwork and the importance of rapid and efficient ideation and iteration processes. These principles have enabled me to collaborate effectively and generate innovative solutions while maintaining a fast-paced and adaptable approach to problem-solving.

What advice would you give to future interns?

My advice to the next group of interns would be to build strong relationships with your teammates and foster a sense of camaraderie. Collaborative success thrives on open communication, so don`t hesitate to voice your ideas and actively participate in decision-making to streamline workflows and drive progress. Being proactive and engaged will contribute to a more productive and rewarding internship experience.
