What did you work on?

What was the impact of your project?
What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?
From this internship, I personally learned a lot from my teammates. Throughout each ticket we were tasked with, I had the opportunity to improve and learn my technical skills from my teammates. I had a great time joining meetings from my ticket members, where they would share resources that would be helpful for the task. I also enjoyed seeing the importance of communication. Whether you are communicating your roadblock for a task, or commenting updates. Communicating what one is up to really improves the efficiency of the team and also prepares the team for demo day.
What skills have you gained?
I have learned a lot of new skills while interning at Unadat. I have learned to be more organized using Asana. Learned and enhanced my technical skills such as improvements in PHP, HTML, and JavaScript. I have also picked up Git, which is commonly used in a lot of companies. I have also made improvements in my communication skills with my teammates and supervisor. Communicating my progress and concerns has enhance my ability to effectively be a better worker and intern. From communication, I also had the opportunity to improve my public speaking skills. Through weekly demo, I would speak to my team members on the progress my group has made on a specific task.
What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?
One of my biggest roadblocks I`ve face was definitely understanding the code and using Git. Throughout my internship, I had a great opportunity to be placed in tickets, where my teammates knew what they were doing. It was a great chance for me to learn from them as they showed me mini demos. I would communicate constantly with them throughout the weeks with any problems I had. Communication is key and my willingness to learn was what got me to the end of this internship experience.
How has company culture guided your work?
Unadat`s company culture has definitely guided my work. I loved weekly meeting where our team along with Sean and Daniel utilized Asana to set up weekly goals/sprints, and potential roadblocks. For many of us interns, it was our first time using this platform, and in all honesty it kept our workflow really organized, and gave us time to complete our task.
