What was your role?

I helped create a hybrid landing page for the site with a focus on the goal store with the rest of my team. This included creating value propositions for each individual goal as well as making sure the page looked presentable.

What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?

I`ve learned from my teammates how to work effectively with others on a consistent basis and on one large project. I also did get help from them when it came to designing various banners and logos to be more consistent with one another and how to make sure everything flows well together. Lastly, I`ve learned from them how to be more confident as all of them weren`t afraid to speak their mind which I really thought was cool.

What skills have you gained?

I learned more about market research and digital marketing and I would say those were the two main skills or areas I focused on during this internship. Various other things I picked up or at least brushed up on were making value propositions, creating clean and concise designs when it came to the layout of the landing page and of course I brushed up on my public speaking skills when I presented what me and my team did for the week.

What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?

The biggest roadblock was probably near the end when we were still getting feedback on the landing pages we were presenting. It felt like we hit a wall when it came to what to do next but the major moment that allowed us to really make big changes was when we got the feedback from the other teams and told us what they thought didn`t really work and maybe some ideas to add. It was a big thing to do in the final week, but I thought we took to the challenge well.

How has company culture guided your work?

The company culture really pushed me to be open with my ideas and always strive to collaborate with my team on what our next move or step was. Furthermore, it also guided me to be more confident as we each has to share what we did for the week at least once and it got me more comfortable presenting in a professional setting.

What advice would you give to future interns?

Really try and get along with your team you`re going to be seeing them the most during the internship and they can really enhance your experience during the internship. Also, be confident in what you`re doing and ideas and at any point you`re not sure of something ask question whether that be to your team or the supervisors.
