What was your role?

Integrated a prototype "challenges" feature that allows users to compete against others. Implemented full-stack functionality for facilitating new challenges and inviting other users to compete. Constructed framework for sharing challenges via “share code” and adding users to existing challenges.

What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?

From my teammates, I`ve learned key lessons about communication and task management. I`ve learned how to convey ideas effectively and efficiently to my team, which has resulted in increased coordination and productivity. Additionally, I also learned the importance of aligning individual strengths with specific responsibilities.

What skills have you gained?

During my Unadat internship, I acquired valuable skills in creating web projects using PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, and CSS. I gained a comprehensive understanding of the core components that make up a successful web project, including coding in these languages, integrating databases, and designing user interfaces. This experience greatly enhanced my technical proficiency and ability to develop functional and engaging web applications in the future.

What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?

The biggest roadblock that I`ve overcome so far has had to do with coordinating changes with my team. By far the most important thing in overcoming it was to communicate what I was working on in a timely manner so that the team wouldn`t have to spend time getting up to speed or work on overlapping features. In doing so, I was able to meet our deadlines efficiently.

How has company culture guided your work?

I`ve been able to learn a lot through frequent collaboration with my teammates. Also, the ability to set my own schedule has significantly increased my productivity.

What advice would you give to future interns?

One key piece of advice I would give to the next crop of interns is not to be afraid to ask questions or ask for help. Time permitting, your team members will make their best efforts to help you as much as possible.
