What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?

My teammates were pretty much in the same boat as me with not having too much experience with the given languages such as SQL and PHP. It was essentially a group effort and learning process to achieve our goals. More often than not, when working on tickets I would learn something from my teammate and vice versa as well.

What skills have you gained?

The Unadat internship has been an enriching experience that has provided me with a glimpse of how the real world may operate and how I should go about handling that. I was able to gain experience in some more programming languages such as PHP, JS, HTML, CSS, etc. I also learned how to form team synergy with at least one teammate and we started to become better teammates and collaborators as a result.

What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?

Essentially the biggest roadblock was trying to piece the puzzle pieces together to understand on a broader scale of whats happening. In the first few weeks, I was more confused than not and learning new things one step at a time. By the middle to end of the internship I had started to finally put the pieces together and the tasks suddenly didn`t seem as difficult anymore.

How has company culture guided your work?

I really like how flexible the schedule was for my team which allowed us to either work earlier or later if we wanted. On top of that, Dan was of great help in familiarizing and learning new objectives.

What advice would you give to future interns?

It`s ok to be confused but make sure you don`t end up backseating because of that. Ask questions to your teammates, co-workers, and bosses as they are all willing to help and enrich your experience.
